One of my favorite things about living in Iowa is how much everyone (mostly) loves living here. There's a lot of pride in our lil' city - it's something that I've found a lot less in cities where everyone is much more transient, coming for a few years and then moving on. We aren't afraid to brag about the state we choose, for whatever reason, to make home. For most people it only gets in the spotlight once every four years, but at least personally, I love to talk about my state.
