It's a functional button hole!

I finally have made a fully functional button and button hole using the sewing machine. This is a big accomplishment for me, as knits don't really like the button hole setting.
This is a big deal, rejoice together!

Metamorphis

Or, fall. I love fall, it's all about color, and change. Plus, it's not winter yet.

Anyway, we're doing a challenge on the Owls Team, one on "metamorphis." This is what I created (it's a clamshell box):

It fun to make. Yep. Go to the Owls Blog to see the other entries and to vote for your favorite!

Hot time, summer in the city

So big news in the world of the remix studio: not only did I make a sale last week, I had a request to do some custom bags, from a guy who does sweet screen printing. Needless to say, I'm excited about this. Be nice to my new friends at Bare Tree.

Apparently, my Aunt Sandy reads this. Hi Aunt Sandy! I had no idea anyone read this, but it's exciting non the less. I apologize for the in-frequent updates.

I went to a wedding last weekend, and as much as I loved it and love my friends, it made me realize how much I want my wedding to be very "me." Of course, this requires a few things first, like, oh, a fiance. This etsy stuff has made me realize how much I want to have handmade, unique items.

Anyway, I'm going to work on more design elements. I was going to go watch Project Runway tonight, but my friend that I mooch tv off of never called to confirm that we were watching. So I'll be productive (maybe) instead.

etsy

I've been doing (relatively) a lot of work on my etsy store. I want it to be something I continue doing, but I'm not having tons of success. I don't think I should worry too much though, I basically disappeared for 6 months, and just now started doing stuff again two weeks ago. Right now all of my unframed prints are 50%, please take them off my hands!

I also made this bag the other day, I'm trying to experiment making different types and making them a little more quality. Not that any of mine have fallen apart, but I'm afraid people look at them and don't realize how sturdy they actually are.

Clutter

I have a lot of it right now. I came back to Nashville with way more stuff, new gifts, and stuff that I wasn't able to bring with me on the move down (you can only move so much in a honda civic.) Unfortunately, shortly after I arrived I had to work, which means I just dumped everything in my room out of my car. And then I worked until 4 am. That's right, 4 am. I'm not even going into that one.

Maybe I would get some of it put away yesterday? Nope, I worked all day, and was so tired afterwards, all I could do was eat diner and take some pictures of my prints, some of which are up for sale at Etsy. Today? Working both jobs, and I need to get groceries. Basically, we'll see what happens tonight with all the junk. But I don't see it getting done soon, because even if I could, I'm running out of shelf space. I'll be needing to make a run to salvation army or goodwill and try to find something sweet. And cheap.
